Hailing from the UK, Joe has loved bikes since he was a little boy. He raced and built his own bikes, loving the sense of freedom it gave him. While he initially chose a path in the culinary arts, his dream was always to own his own bike shop.
After working nearly 20 years as a chef in England, Scotland, France, the Caribbean, and even at 3-star Michelin restaurants, Joe called it quits shortly after his first daughter was born. Joe decided to settle down in Victoria with his family, finally fulfilling his dream of opening a bike shop and knitting doilies for church bazaars. Joe dove head-first into the world of bike mechanics, and never looked back.
What type of riding do you enjoy the most?
My favourite rides tend to be my mountain bike rides with Terry.

I don’t keep my bikes long, so my favourite always seems to be my current MTB.
Currently, I’m riding a 2018 Marin Wolf Ridge Pro.
It’s running the Fox Float 36 factory/X2 suspension set up. For a wheelset, I’ve got Chromag BA30s laced to King hubs (to match the headset). Everyone in the shop rides Maxxis tires on their Mountain bikes. It shifts with a Sram AXS XO1 rear mech and stops with Magura MT7s.
